The two sources agree except on king, where Dunelm lists 230 × 220 cm and Which? 225 × 220 cm. Other brands vary by a few centimetres too, so match the duvet cover to the duvet’s label, not just the name.
Size up for more coverage
Dunelm’s advice: if you like extra coverage, buy the next size up, such as a double duvet on a single bed. Your duvet cover then needs to be the duvet’s size, not the bed’s.
King and super king: which way round?
King and super king duvets are wider than they are long (for example 260 × 220 cm). Which? notes that some makers mark the shorter edge so the duvet goes into the cover sideways.
Children’s duvets
Dunelm says duvets are not suitable for babies under one. Toddler and cot-bed duvet sizes and togs are on KidsSizes.
